Install

1. Open the downloaded thockmac-1.0.3.dmg and drag thockmac into Applications.
2. Open thockmac from Applications. macOS says it can't check it for malicious software: click Done.
3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway next to thockmac, then confirm with your password or Touch ID.
4. When thockmac asks, allow Input Monitoring (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Input Monitoring). It only listens for a key going down and up and never sees what you type in password fields.
5. Look for the keycap in your menu bar. Pick a switch and type.

Why the extra step?

thockmac isn't notarised by Apple yet, so macOS asks you to allow it once. After that it opens like any other app. It only talks to our server for the trial and licence (and the live map, if you switch it on), and never sends what you type. Details are in the privacy policy.

Already bought Pro?

Open thockmac → Settings → Pro, paste the licence key from your email and click Activate. One key works on 2 Macs.
