Privacy
Short version: no account, no tracking, no analytics in the app. Only one thing ever leaves your Mac: the licence activation (and its occasional check).
What stays on your Mac
- Your layout (which icons are shown, hidden or always hidden), your profiles, your spacing and your shortcuts, saved in ~/Library/Application Support/transom.
- The names of the other apps' menu bar items, read through Accessibility so they can be listed and searched. They are used on your Mac and never sent.
- Pictures of hidden icons for the panel (only with Screen Recording allowed). They are taken when the panel opens, kept in memory only, never saved or sent.
What leaves your Mac

That is the full list. transom has no analytics, no crash reporter that phones home, no advertising, no account and no update check in version 1.0.
Permissions
- Accessibility (required) lets transom read the other menu bar icons, open their menus and move them when you ask. It doesn't read your windows, your typing or your files.
- Screen Recording (optional) is used only for pictures of hidden menu bar icons in the transom panel. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent.
Buying
Checkout is run by our payment provider, Dodo Payments, the merchant of record. They handle your payment details and email address under their own privacy policy; we receive your order (email, country, amount) so we can send your licence and help you. We never see your card number.
This website
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without following you across sites. When you click a Buy button we count the click (the app name and the page, nothing about you). The thank-you page reads your licence key from its address in your browser and removes it from the address bar; it is sent only to our licence server to make your download link, and our server doesn't log it.
