Install macslay+
For macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
1-day free trial of everything, no card · then macslay+ Pro, one-time
Install in four steps
1. Download and open the disk image
Open macslay.dmg and drag macslay+ into Applications.
2. Open it once
Open macslay+ from Applications. macOS says it can't verify the developer and doesn't open it. Click Done (not Move to Bin).
3. Allow it in System Settings
Open System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, and click Open Anyway next to the message about macslay+. Confirm with your password or Touch ID.
4. Open it again
Click Open in the dialog. From now on macslay+ opens normally, like any other app. Choose Start 1-day free trial to begin.
Your 1-day free trial
- The first time it opens, macslay+ offers Start 1-day free trial (no card, no account) and Have a licence key?
- For 24 hours everything works. Starting the trial needs the internet once; after that it runs offline until its end time.
- One trial per Mac. Reinstalling the app or deleting its settings doesn’t start a new one.
- When it ends, tidying is locked until you add a licence: “Your 1-day trial has ended. Get macslay+ Pro to keep tidying.” Undo of past runs and the run history keep working.
- macslay+ Pro is a one-time $14.99 licence (launch price for the first 50 buyers, then $29) for one Mac.
Why macOS asks you to allow it
macslay+ isn't notarized by Apple yet, because that needs a paid Apple developer account we don't have yet. The app is the same either way: sandboxed, and it only touches folders you choose. macOS just can't vouch for who made it, so it asks you to allow it once.
